On a DigitalOcean server in Sydney that Newcastle Rising runs. Your site has its own isolated container with its own database and memory allowance, so another site misbehaving can't take yours down.
Every site is backed up nightly to a second server, and we test restoring from those backups every month. A full rebuild onto a new server takes about an hour. We commit to 99.9% uptime each month outside of announced maintenance, with a credit if we miss it. The detail is in the terms.
Yes. Your content, your domain, your data. If you leave, we hand over a full export of the site files and database within 14 days, free.
Yes. You keep a WordPress admin login. The only things locked down are the ones that break sites: editing theme code from the browser and installing plugins without us checking them first.
We don't host mailboxes, on purpose. Email reliability is a different job and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 do it better than any web host. We'll help you set either up and we never touch your email records during a move.
